EVE Energy Deploys 36MWh Storage Project at Kuala Lumpur International Airport
EVE Energy Co., Ltd., in partnership with leading Malaysian energy companies, has signed a landmark contract for a major solar-plus-storage project at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The signing ceremony, witnessed by Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof, underscores the national importance of this initiative.
Advanced Technology Deployment
The project represents EVE Energy’s first AC/DC integrated energy storage deployment in Malaysia, featuring the company’s advanced 628Ah energy storage batteries. The system includes a planned 5 MWh highly integrated storage solution specifically designed to support renewable energy grid connection, peak shaving, and grid frequency regulation.
Project Scope: The comprehensive system combines a 10 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plant with a 36 MWh battery energy storage system, creating a fully integrated renewable energy solution for one of Southeast Asia’s busiest transportation hubs.
Environmental Impact
According to project estimates, the integrated solar-plus-storage system will help reduce approximately 42,006 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. This substantial reduction supports KLIA’s goal to significantly increase renewable energy utilization by 2030 and advance toward net-zero emissions.
