The Malaysian Energy Storage Association (MESA) is proud to announce a significant milestone in Malaysia’s energy storage sector. With 1.6GWh of grid-scale BESS projects now in development, Malaysia is transitioning from small pilot projects to utility-scale deployments.
This represents a fundamental shift in how we approach energy storage as critical grid infrastructure. The projects will provide grid stability, enable more renewable energy integration, and position Malaysia as a leader in ASEAN energy storage.
