Pylontech has secured a 150 MWh energy storage project in Vietnam, supporting grid stability and renewable integration, and further strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia’s fast-growing BESS market.

Malaysia’s renewable energy sector is set for strong growth, driven by the upcoming LSS6 solar tender, expansion of the CRESS framework, and rising power demand from data centres. The integration of battery storage and supportive policies is expected to further accelerate market development.

A consortium led by Founder Energy has signed an agreement to develop Malaysia’s first battery-backed “firm” solar project in Sarawak, combining 310MWp solar PV with 620MWh BESS. The project marks a key step toward dispatchable renewable energy and large-scale storage integration in Malaysia.
